What a waste of space and garbage mound this site is. Who the hell cares what people are doing to with their day in 2 sentences or less every f*&^ing 5 minutes. What a colossal waste of time that must be to update the world (who doesn't care anyways) about what you're doing. Damn I hope this site's hype fizzles, quickly. We're sick of hearing about twitter this, twitter than. Just die.

Re: The Abandoned Garden

Sup dad i remembered to check

Re: Groundhog Day 2009: Pensacola Max Forecasts an Early Spring

I'm pretty sure "Anynamous" is my daughter, Alex. :-)

Re: Groundhog Day 2009: Pensacola Max Forecasts an Early Spring

LOL my dads rottie is to cute!

Re: Groundhog Day 2009: Pensacola Max Forecasts an Early Spring

Thank you for sharing the forecasting abilities of this talented Rottweiler. The numbers it has been producing are very similar to those measured by FeedBurner. Don't get me wrong: This was just a thought piece, and I expect FeedBurner to improve. But there are other options, and I expect we'll see new ones this year.

Re: Is It Time to Let FeedBurner Burn?

what are the best ways to measure your RSS subscriber reach other than Feedburner? Besides using MyBrand, a good option is to use .htaccess redirects to the feedburner feeds.

This is what I have been doing on all my blogs. I ask users to subscribe to my native feed itself. Recently I had to shift feeds because FB suddenly stopped working on one blog.

And another feed just got deleted for no reason on the Feedproxy service.

As for the support, it is simply terrible!

Re: The Unbreakable Rules of Social Media

I can't seem to view the image. =(

Re: There Is No Authority In Social Media

Good post Chris, just shared the article as I think it illustrates all that is good and bad with "social media".

There's a natural propensity to follow trends on the likes of Twitter, following only those with Social Media in their profile for example. Don't; take a moment to read their last 10-20 posts and get a feel of the value they maybe adding to you as an individual and then decide whether to follow or not.

I am currently writing a post on a not dissimilar matter, but its good to remind to us all to reap the real value from what I think is a very powerful facility when used effectively.

Cheers!

Re: The Unbreakable Rules of Social Media

Sadly, some take advantage of this. :-(

Re: The Unbreakable Rules of Social Media

Ahh . . . now I see . . . Data is picked up through its API and for as long as the blog owner allows 3rd party data access for that.

However, we noticed that there are cases recently where some were able to jack up their subscriber numbers. This is an exploit that Feedburner should address in order to remain a reliable indicator of blog subscriber stats. Also, those who enable their AdSense on Feeds experience problems in sharing their subscriber data because of setting changes. This result to inaccurate data pick-up for blog ranking purposes.

Re: Is It Time to Let FeedBurner Burn?

Your communication, Matt, have been very welcome.
